After goes to the Orang Asli’s village, I
got to know a lot of people and got a new experience where I can’t get before
this. There are a few parts that I really surprise about their palace. Firstly,
about the dogs. If you looked a far you will mistake the dogs with the goats.
It because they had a same physical and make you confuse. After you go nearby
that animals, you will know their true identity. Actually, I really afraid with
that animals, but I need to overcome my fear. At last, i got to prove my braveness.
Next, during the adopted family session I got to know ‘kakak Mas’ and her
family very well. They treat me so nice and kind although at the first meeting
she look very shy to talked to me. But, when I asked about her aged, she shakes
her head without saying anything to me. After that, she say that she don’t know
her true aged until now. However, when I asked about her son’s she can tell me
eight years old and five years old. Based on what I observed I can guess that
she in middle thirty years old.
Besides, the kids looked very happy when
we are doing ‘Sukan Rakyat’ with the villagers. They are very hyperactive and
compete to be a winners. They listen and follow the rules before started the
games. And the most important to me, they are really enjoys and sporting toward
us. When my friends and I goes to the bridge to take our photos, we saw a few
of kids coming to us and climbed the bridge and jump to the water. I really
shocked when I seeing that situations. I was liked ‘how they are so fearless
and brave to do this actions’. They more excited to jumped when we are taking
their photos. So, we pretend not seeing them jump and do our own activities.
Furthermore, when we are doing the slot
of ‘My Dream’ I saw the kids showed their willing to join us playing the games.
Some of them know how to write and to speak English even they are not fluent.
They can work in the team when we had to fight with others. Unfortunately,
there are one kid crying in my team when he felt from the line during the
games. But, we manage to handle it and he keeps playing the games with us until
ends.
Lastly, at the end of our program I feel
chocked to leave the village because it was my first time to stay and spend my
time around 3 days and 2 nights with them. I never go to any Orang Asli’s
village in my life time. This program teach me a lot of things and I learn a
new experience about their lifestyle. When I walked with my friends, there are
auntie offers me to ride her motorcycle to go to the bus parked. And when we
are going back to the university, I got excited when I seeing a lot of kids
gathering at our bus to saying goodbye. If I get a change to goes to Orang
Asli’s village I will volunteer myself. I like to get engaged with the
community because I can learn something from them.
