ANG CHUN CHAI (AIA160059)

This is my reflection for my social engagement. Actually I don’t know what is social engagement at first because i am a second intake student, so i just follow my coursemate to take this subject. We went to Kampung Tementong for our social engagement on 17^th March to 19th, Kampung Tementong is Orang Asli’s village. I never went to Orang Asli’s village even interact with Orang Asli before this, it’s the first time i interact with them. They are very kind and willingness to help even share with other people. I still remember that one of the slot in our trip is prepare the food together with them, actually most of the work were did by them, because we are not very good in cook. They are willingness to help and teach us to done our slot. I learned a lot from the culture of the Orang Asli due to those slots were prepared in this trip.

I was injured when we were painting at the kindergarten. My classmate sent me to the hospital to get an injection to prevent an infection. I felt very thankful to them because they were very helpful and take care of me very well like we were siblings at the village. The relationship among us became very close after the program because there is a lot of things that we do together to make this program succeed. Before this, my relationship with my classmates is not really close because I’m a new student in the class. After this program I know my classmate well and I was so happy to know them all because they were so kind and show a very good example for me to living my life in this campus.

 

 

Lastly, this program make our bonding become so close like we all were siblings although we are become from a different background. It is a very good experience in my university’s life and I think this program should be done every year and for every student because this program really brings a lot of benefits for us.
